Totally removing the seals isn't an option for me I want to be able to just remove what I use for air flow and have a wrist seal in the event of a puncture. Happens as when I find cut line with hooks I remove it.

One option is to use the inner gloves between the seal to let the air to flow in. In case of puncture, you can actually pull the inner glove off from there and close the seal.

and, what would you do if you get a leaky glove? can you pull the bungee back to allow the seal for do its job?

Yes, that was the point.
