I am going to Fiji in July this year and have a booked place on the Island Dancer liveaboard. I am looking forward to it. Is there any possibility of seeing a Hammerhead shark or ten in Fiji at that time of the year? If so, which reef is most likely?

Hi
Quite possible. There are a couple of resident great hammerheads at Wakaya passage which is usually on the Island Dancer itinerary. I used to see scalloped hammerheads around Namena island especially on the South side of the reef but I haven't been out that way for a while now. When you dive Nigali passage near Gau island, you may see Scalloped. So quite a good chance but don't shout at me if you don't :-)
Have a great trip.
