I just tried to call them, using the number on their website. It said the number was disconnected. Anybody know if they're still around, and if so, how can I get in touch with them?

I'm guessing you used their old web site, which for some reason is still up.

Try hammerheadbackplates.com instead.

Hammerhead Scuba - Hammerhead II Backplate

Just received mine about three weeks ago and just love it! SS with a STA. I choose the one WITH the handle cuttouts and glad I did. Much easier to move around. I setup with a DR Transplate Harness and a Mach V wing.

Only two dives so far so I'm still trimming out the new setup but I sure dig it;).
