How great it is to get to a forum like this and see that the same issues apply (well it is diving). We are pretty much a SP, Cressi Sub, Poseidon and little bit Mares country. Aqualung, Genesis, SeaIRA etc, are kind of stay away stuff. Also our (poor) currency takes it on the chin everytime some economist sneezes in the US, or if Colin Powell threatens Arrafat. Wish I could understand that, but any way. I have found so many usefull Q & A's. Hope to meet some of you in SA for some spectacular diving of our coasts. Keep the heads under and breathe!!

Welcome from Texas.

Tell us what the diving in S. Africa is like!

and a WARM Welcome from Sunny ARIZONA

glad to have you here :balloon:

and you have it right in saying dive and leave to world behind

Great to have a diver from a "white" diving area on the board.
Guess not only me is interested about the SA diving scene.

Looking forward to read your posts

have fun over here!

Good to be received with such warmth. Dee, Wolfshark, Gemma - diving in SA is great. We have warm water and cold water sites, with Great WHite, Raggies and Zambesi shark sites. Some of the best reefs you can dive of Sodwana and others. Inland we are restricted to mainly three "holes", 80m or so. Great for training etc. We are alos lucky in the sense that Mozambique is 6 hours drive and there is magnificant diving. But will let you know more and post some photies soon.
breathe!

Hello & welcome!

I'm pretty new to the board, too, but everyone here has been great so far! Since you are from South Africa, I have a question for you:

Have you ever used Bright Weights? (They're made in SA.) I am considering getting their system, but they are not too common here in the USA, so no one around here has tried them, thus making it hard for me to get any info from someone who has actually used them.

Anyway, a warm welcome to you! Enjoy the board!
