Looking for a recent generation Halcyon XP Scout LED module (3 cell).

Would entertain the whole light for the right price.

What about getting the 4W LED module from Heser? Cheaper and brighter as well than the 3W one from Halcyon.

I’m interested in this as well. You sure it fits?

I have a scout 3-cell that I would part with for $190 + S&H. Less than a year old, maybe 15 dives, never flooded, only been in The Great Lakes. I would prefer a 2-cell as my backup over the 3-cell.

yea, it should fit from what I've read from other people, but I'll double check with some of my friends with the Heser lights.

Confirmed - the Heser LED module does “work” in a Scout. Bonus points: it’s cheaper and brighter than Halcyons module and completely sealed (unlike their module).

This from Heser:

"...our LED-Unit fits with Halcyon Scout backup light. However, we cannot
give any guarantee for the running time of the LED, because using it in
a lamp without heat dissipation, the operating heat generated by the LED
cannot be dissipated sufficiently."

Albeit what I’m about to say is completely different than what Heser is saying because I’m not gonna speak to heat but instead battery life: I’ve burn tested my 3-cell scouts that have Heser LED modules and the results netted 4-6 hours with no noticeable issues due to heat dissipation. Those burn test results are more than sufficient and also meet/exceeded Halcyon specs. In short, the Heser led modules work just fine with Halcyon backups lights; and, a I know a bunch of folks who have switched to the modules.
