What type of weight setup do any of you DIR folks use? I have looked around a bit but don't see any specifics. I know the BP tend to weigh a good bit and v weights can be installed but it seems there would be some ditchable weight involved. The ACB by Halcyon looks very un DIR right off to me, kind of bulky and not evident what to pull to release. For anyone who has these, do they get in the way or anything? Just curious...

They don't get in the way, but they do take practice in releasing the clips. They won't fall out unintentionally, but you must make sure you can get them out when needed..

hey tommy!!!

this is not ditchable, but works wonders. there are some pyramid like shaped weghts (kinda rounded inward to shape the tanks)you put between your doubles and your backplate. adjust the height for trim.

if you are diving fresh water, stages and primary light, you probably do not need weights.

good luck
