I believe it is Lithium Ion. I got it second hand. The battery is not removable from the canister.

is it a 3 cell Lithium at 10.8V or is it a 4 cell lithium at 14.4V? Using a 10.8V pack delivers suboptimal heating with the usual heated undergarments-

I am not sure on the number of batteries as it is shrink wrapped.
Reviewing the documentation, Halcyon notes the battery specs are:

11.1V Voltage
Battery Configuration: 3S7P
