Sorry, really the last people I would want to learn SM diving from. Perhaps the SM dives and experience exists to teach it and I'm not privy to that work. But I'm highly skeptical.

It seems (based on latest GUE live video) Chris Le Maillot and Kirill Egorov were among the people who prepared this class for a couple of years. Le Maillot explained that depending on the environment some GUE divers already used sidemount configuration. And that experience shall be transformed into a class. I don't think GUE Cave SM instructors will be allowed to teach without prior experience.

Questions that i have are is the class going to be like an introduction to sidemount where they teach you but have you impose conservative limits (like being tech 2 and then taking jj ccr and doing tech 1 dives for a bit) or it being a full cave 2 class but in sidemount. Ill assume its like a cave 2 class since this is gue lol. Also what is supervised diver..?

. . . Also what is supervised diver..?

I don't remember the details, but I believe it's like PADI's "Scuba Diver." It's listed in the standards now, so you can read for yourself. It made me wonder whether the motivation was GUE instructors who wanted their young children to start diving with them.
