I'll be in Xela Guatemala this summer for 3 weeks translating for a medical clinic and we're planning on making a trip to Lake Aticlan on one of our weekends and i've heard that this is good diving, not so much for flora and fauna but for volacanic structures etc. Does anyone know of dive shops in this area?

There should be a dive shop in Santa Cruz, which is one of the small towns around the lake. I only did one dive there because the water is a chilly for my taste, even with a 7 mil wetsuit. But it was interesting diving, including a swim thru a small lava tunnel called Elephants Nose.
