Grenada visibility

Hi,

I heard that the visibility changes a lot with the season, so I'd like to know the approximate visibility in
winter
spring
summer
fall

I may be doing a trip in January, but if it's not the best season, perharps I'll go another time.

I have the same question. We were there in January once. Did only 2 dives there (last day of a liveaboard trip) but the viz was pretty poor, and I wasn't all that impressed with what we did see. (We stayed on the island for a few additional days and didn't bother to dive more, we were so unimpressed.) I don't know if that was the sites or just bad luck. The limited reviews I read of Grenada diving are generally favorable and haven't mentioned viz one way or the other, so I'm not sure what to think.

We were there two years ago in April. The visibility was reduced from normal due to an influx of warm, fresh water from either the Amazon or Orinoco. Still, it wan't too bad.

We found the diving to be good once we got the hang of doing drift dives. The open water, deeper doves were fine, but we could have spent 3/4 of our dives in the marine park doing 30 foot dives and would have been pleased. That is due to the marine park being really great, not due to the deep diving being poor.
