I just got my open water diver certification today and figured I finally have the right to sign up and start posting here. My father has been a member for some months now and has repeatedly told me of the friendly, outgoing community on these forums and I'm hoping I can gain/share knowledge and maybe make a few friends.

My next dive will probably either be in the Circleville Twin Quarries in Ohio where I got certified) or perhaps Summersville; my dive instructor is thinking of putting togeter a trip there before it gets -too- cold and if he goes, I'll follow him down.

Dove Summersville this Monday, Sept. 13, from the winter boat launch area. The diving was better than normal. The vis was for most of the time over 15-20 feet with the surface temp around 72 degrees with temps at 38 feet at 70 degrees. The lake was 5 feet below normal spool.

Good for you. Congratulations on your OW cert.

Thanks, Bogie; sure took me long enough to get it. :p

al: I'm from St. Albans, about twenty or so miles from Charleston.
