I'm new to scubaboard, but not new to diving. I got certified at 16 years old and have been diving off and on ever since. Most of my diving has been off the Texas coast on the oil platforms which to me is great diving. I haven't had the time or cash to go on those spectacular dive trips everyone raves about, but recently had some very enjoyable diving in Costa Rica in the Gulf of Papagayo. Visibility isn't fabulous but not bad either, and there are currents, but I prefer a challenging dive and in Costa Rica the marine life is great.
My goal now is to start diving more. I live in Maryland and want to do some diving in the Chesapeake Bay (I know the vis totally sucks) and also off of the Maryland Atlantic coast.

Welcome to Scuba Board. I'm new to Scuba Board too, only joined about 10 days ago. There's so much diving information on this site and all the members are so friendly. It's a great community. I will be diving in Costa Rica, Gulf of Papagayo, in two weeks...can't wait.
