Hey guys,

I'm shoey & just wanted to say hi to everyone on the forums.

My wife and I just recently completed our padi referral in london , ie theory & 5 cw pool dives, we are planning to do our padi open water dives in Sharm at end of April - so we are eager & keen & got couple of questions:

1) can anybody recommend a good padi school in Sharm?

2) what are we expected to do in the 4 open water dives? will there be time during those dives to look around, or would all the time be focused on skills exercises?

3) for the 4 open water dives only, roughly how much shd we expect to pay?

heaps of thanks & hello!

I can't answer your questions about schools in Sharm, or costs, but I can tell you about the OW dives.

The first dive is a simple tour. On each of the subsequent dives, you will spend some time doing skills, and then do a tour to end the dive. So you WILL get to see some of the reef. How much time is spent doing skills will depend on how easily you perform them.

Have fun! The diving in the Red Sea is great.

You might consider posting in the Red Sea subforum for shop recommendations and information on costs.
