Hi All!

My husband and I are new to diving, but are already hooked. We did our Open Water Referral Program here in the Prairies (complete with chilly YMCA pool dives...) and completed our Open Water dives with Scuba Junkies on Mabul Island, Sabah, Malaysia in April. We hoped to dive Sipadan, but couldn't get permits. Well, one permit opened up one day, but we decided it'd be too unfair for only one of us to go :( Nonetheless, the dives we did do were incredible, the people we met were great, and we can't wait to go on our next adventure!!! Now, if only Regina was a lot more tropical and closer to the ocean...

Cheers!

Kat

Hi Kat....and welcome to ScubaBoard :D

Hello KatC, I am also new to the site. My wife and I will be travelling through your neck of the woods soon. We head to Alaska for two months in July. We will be leaving from North Carolina, stopping in Michigan to see family and then heading through Minnesota into Winnipeg then across to Regina and beyond.

I hear you about diving up North, we lived back in Michigan for a while and diving is COLD and expensive!

Nice to meet you and I look forward to chatting with you

:happywave: Hey, KatC. It's beautiful up there. My son and I drove from Fairbanks, Ak to Acworth, Ga last September. Great trip. Almost made me want to move up that way. Sounds like you've had some awesome dive experience. Keep up the good work.
