Greetings Fellow Divers.

Aloha from Phoenix, sound dry, sound like a place where it's hard pressed to find a single dive worth suiting up for? You got it, that's where I live. We do have some hardcore divers out here who insist that man-made lake diving is the coolest, but I couldn't tell you. I am really not that brave :cool2:

My husband and I usually do a couple of big dives a year. This year, thanks to the the low airfares, we are off to dive in New Zealand. In 2005, I dived Au and it was fabulous, of course. Open any dive mag and there's likely to be articles on Au, however, that is not true with New Zealand.

Please send any advice, info, suggestions, to me regarding diving and having fun in New Zealand. I would appreciate your input so I can make the very best of my trip.

I confirmed that this topic has not been asked before. My apologies if I am incorrectly posting, etc. I'm new to this forum.

Thanks,
Nikki

I have been diving in NZ waters for about 20 years, mostly in the coromandel the diving in NZ is pristine probably not as much colour as more tropical areas but almost anywhere is good my fav spots are the east coast of the coromandel peninsula Whitianga, Tairua, Hahei there is a marine reserve in hahei that is fantastic. Also can recommend the bay of islands and even goat island, One place which is amoung the best dives in the world i am told is the poor knights I've not dived up there but all reports are that it is fantastic. Have a great holiday I hope i have been of some assistance
