Hello--My name is Jim and I just got my PADI open water certificate. I was all hot to go to Costa Rica in late Sept. for a week of diving, but further research revealed the hieght of the rainy season is Sept-Oct. Has anyone gone at this time of year? The resort was by Liberia and it looks OK for the $$ Any feedback would be helpful---Thanks!!

Hi Jim!!! Congrats and welcome to the underwater world. As Gypsyjim mention come over to the DNY forum and say hi.

Hey jim! So now we have a CNY jim and an NYC jim? that won't be too confusing...

Welcome to Scuba Board, Jim.

Come on over to Dive NY forum for a visit. We don't have enough Sams in Dive NY so maybe you can consider changing your name to Sam. :D

I've been to Costa Rica twice but was there in August once and July the second time. When I was there in August, it seem to rain and thunderstorm mostly during the late afternoon/early evening hours and only lasted about about two hours. It did not rain the evening of our night dive.

But Tim's recommendation is a good one to post in the Central American forum with your rainy season question.
