I just joined the site, will start looking around. My son and I just got our OW in September here in Iowa, and looking to get aow in the keys next summer.

We have a cruise booked for 2020, going to Grand Turks, Aruba and Curacao, and want to get some diving in, so any tips on which island we should make sure we get a dive in would be awesome.

Looking forward to all of the info from this community.

Greetings. Any local sites for you in IA?

Welcome to SB and the world of scuba diving. Dive safe!

Welcome! My husband is from Huxley and we travel back frequently to visit family. I can't imagine diving anywhere in Iowa...I'm a warm water gal.

Lots to learn on this site. Enjoy your trips

Yeah, there is nothing here. I hear there are a few places in Illinois, but even then it is a cold water lake. Diving in St. Martin and Cozumel before getting certified kind of spoiled the lakes around here.

howdy and welcome from southeast florida......good luck on your trip.

Welcome rukkian. 2020 is a while away yet so lots of time to plan that. were did you take your final dives at ? I did mine is okoboji in the late 60's.

Great Lakes have awesome wreck diving. It’s cold. You live in IA. You should be used to cold.. You just dress for the temps. :D
