Hello everyone! I'm an Active Duty Army Military Police Investigator stationed in Southern Germany. I've been diving for about 6 months and got certified while stationed in Hawaii. I've got about 15 dives in and I can't wait to continue diving in Europe. I'm looking for a dive partner somewhere in Southern Germany. If you are open to such an opportunity or know someone who may be please PM me.

Cheers!:D

I thank you for your service! :)

I'm going to the Invasion. Are you?
Jump in with the rest of the crew while space is still available!

Do you know of good places to go or are you hoping a dive buddy will steer you in that direction? I'm going to be in Germany for a month for vet school soon (though I only have a week free). I was planning to visit the Frankfurt and Freiburg areas because I lived there a few years ago. Do you know the best diving spots?

Oh, and I wouldn't have my gear with me because we're not allowed to bring a lot of luggage to the program I'm attending.

Welcome!

Make sure you take advantage of the relatively cheap and direct-flight charters from Germany to Egypt's Red Sea. I guess things are calming down in Egypt now, and it's a unique opportunity to easily travel to one of the finest dive areas in the world.

Thank you to all for the warm welcome!

Roxxane Thank you yourself for all your great advice and warm welcome to the board. I've checked out the buddy finder and no one even within reasonable driving range of me.

Compton384 I just got here about a week and a half ago so diving spots are still a mystery to me. I was diving in Puerto Rico with a buddy of mine late last month and I met some Germans about 80km from Vilseck. They were talking about a few places they go once a week to dive but my memory and their english wasn't as good as it should be... I have a friend in Belgium that does some monthly diving but I haven't gotten in the weeds with her about where and all that. When you are a few days out PM me and hopefully I'll have more info on where you can go. Best of luck in Frankfurt at your school. And my gear is out of service until I unpack it from my household goods shipment and get it inspected again. Who knows how long that could take...

Marek K everyone over here talks about the travel opportunities and I have no intention on missing out on all that Europe has to offer. I've heard of great diving off the coast of Spain so I'm sure that will make it into my travel plans this summer. Egypt sounds like a great idea as well so I thank you for the suggestion. Have you been diving in Egypt?

JJEH are you stationed in Stuttgart or just living out here?
