Two bonus points for anyone who even knows where Borrego Springs is.

I'm located in the San Diego County desert, south of Palm Springs (Coachella Valley) by about 70mi.
Although I regularly read the e-mails sent to me this is the first post I have made to this site. The reason? Well, I have (had) a dive buddy who lives near me. Him and his daughter got certified a couple of years ago and we would pack up the gear and head out to La Jolla and do some shore diving. But....he has decided to give it up (he is a skinny sort who would get real cold very easily.) So my dives to La Jolla came to and end.
My dad owns a place on the Big Island so I'd head out there and spend most days diving while on vacation. But now with the economy the way it is (I'm a contractor...) I have not headed over in the last year.
I need to get out. Need to find people who like shore diving in La Jolla *(diving anyplace out here for that matter.)
Minor details;
47 years old, good shape (although that motocross ages ago is catching up to me!)
Male, married, son off to college at UCSD.
Into dune buggies, Jeeps and fishing.

Anyway, just introducing myself. I'd bet I will be able to hook up with other divers by just cruising this site.

Thanks
Rick

Welcome to the 'board!!!

Please feel free to drop on down to your local forum and join in our fun here. I'm sure you will find those that dive LaJolla or elsewhere in So.Cal. I will let you know when I head south to SD too.

Hope to see you in the water some day soon.
