Hi all, I've been reading the boards for a while now, and thought that I would finally sign up. I'm a UK diver, currently training for my Ocean Diver certification with my BSAC club. Started training in February (with a month off as I was travelling) and am working on my open water lessons now. Loving every moment so far :-D

Hi lozadora, how far along are you in your training? I'm actually planning my first club dive for next year, just a small one to Stoney Cove (a quarry we usually go to for training). But I think I'll stick with the organised club dives for a while - can't really afford to travel far. We're putting together the dives for next year, and there's some interesting sounding ones - Farnes Islands, Eyemouth, Hodge Close :-p

I've just done a try dive and I'm doing my Open Water Diver Referral course next weekend. I've got a holiday booked to Santorini so I'm planning to complete my PADI certificate out there (requires 4 dives). I'm blogging my adventures if you're keen to follow? Link in my signature.

So I'm very new to diving but excited about the course and my first sea dives!

Sounds like a nice plan Lozadora - my friend completed her PADI open dives whilst on holiday. Look forward to following your adventures through blog :-D I actually started one when I started my diving training as well - A Scuba Experience if you're interested. It's really written just for me, so that I'll always remember that initial excitement.

Hi tracydr :-) Ocean Diver is the first BSAC qualification - similar to the PADI Open Water qualification
