Greetings from an Ocean Diver trainee

Hi all, I've been reading the boards for a while now, and thought that I would finally sign up. I'm a UK diver, currently training for my Ocean Diver certification with my BSAC club. Started training in February (with a month off as I was travelling) and am working on my open water lessons now. Loving every moment so far :-D

Hi there. I'm also "in training" do you have any diving trips planned for when you certify?

Hi lozadora, how far along are you in your training? I'm actually planning my first club dive for next year, just a small one to Stoney Cove (a quarry we usually go to for training). But I think I'll stick with the organised club dives for a while - can't really afford to travel far. We're putting together the dives for next year, and there's some interesting sounding ones - Farnes Islands, Eyemouth, Hodge Close

I've just done a try dive and I'm doing my Open Water Diver Referral course next weekend. I've got a holiday booked to Santorini so I'm planning to complete my PADI certificate out there (requires 4 dives). I'm blogging my adventures if you're keen to follow? Link in my signature.

So I'm very new to diving but excited about the course and my first sea dives!

Sounds like a nice plan Lozadora - my friend completed her PADI open dives whilst on holiday. Look forward to following your adventures through blog :-D I actually started one when I started my diving training as well - A Scuba Experience if you're interested. It's really written just for me, so that I'll always remember that initial excitement.

Hi tracydr Ocean Diver is the first BSAC qualification - similar to the PADI Open Water qualification
