Asshats! A hefty fine should be levied against that boat operator!

so sad I hope the figure a way o that not happing again

A tiger shark around 12' long swam by me last week and was maybe 50' away. I was thrilled but at the same time recognized my vulnerability. I have no idea why one would want to swim with great whites. Shocking video and sad day for that magnificent ocean predator.

Wow. Looked to me like the shark blundered into the cage, as opposed to going after a diver. Which doesn't mean there might not've been 'consequences' if the cage weren't there. It is tragic for the animal, and raises the question of what bar spacing ought to be.

Richard.

Swim with sharks. If you're going to be bait, do it on a hook.

Shark wouldn't be there without bait.

Exactly. I really think baited observation should be vigorously discouraged by organizations that can bring pressure and resources to bear on the matter.
