I was wondering if there is a group that is committed to detailed 3D modelling and archaeological surveys of Great Lakes wrecks? Would anyone be interested in forming a group that would commit to selecting a wreck every season to dive, research and detail with a certain level of accuracy that we can print out an online journal?

Thoughts ideas and suggestions welcome.

BoneCrusher (the thread moderator) has participated in the 3d mappings of the Regina, Mary Alice B, and the Sport. From what he says it takes dozens of dives and favorable conditions to produce those cards. It's not easy to do and many dont want to scrub dives doing so. Artist Bob McGreevy does an excellent job at doing overall views of wrecks and is 90% accurate. We use him when we do new discoveries.
