Just simply wow! Probably best dive conditions of the season so far! Saw a good sized Northern Moon Snail (Euspira heroes) yesterday off Marshall Point Lighthouse in Port Clyde, Maine. There were also some good sized Acadia Hermit Crabs (Pagurus acadians). Coolest thing was when a school of little fish, darting just below the surface, acted in unison and surrounded me...it was like something out of Finding Nemo. They were difficult to identify, but I think they might have been Atlantic Herring (Clupea barengus) eventual sardines when they reach 2-3 years old. Although they might also have been Mackrel Scad (Decapterus macarellus) since they are currently running in these waters.
