I'm contemplating a last-minute trip next month with Nautilus to interact with the migrating gray whales in San Ignacio Lagoon in Mexico. This is a topside, land-based trip interacting with the whales by panga. The accommodations are tents near the lagoon. We are transported from Cabo San Lucas by private charter for a 2-hr trip to the campground. If anyone has done this experience, I'd love to hear your feedback. If you know:

1. Does the beach have sand fleas?
2. Are mosquitoes a problem in February?
3. Without the security of a brick and mortar hotel, is this part of Mexico safe for travelers? Any problems with banditos, theft, or kidnaping?
4. Any issues with the private charter service? Maintenance issues? Delays? Did you feel safe flying in this type of aircraft?

Thanks in advance for your feedback!
