Gray Reef Sharks - Fakarava, French Polynesia

Just got back from an amazing trip to French Polynesia a few hours ago. These were taken during a morning drift dive in Fakarava in the Tuamotus.

Thanks - this is the Northern Pass (Garuae). We dove with Te Ava Nui and would recommend them. Full trip report coming soon!

One more gray reef shark (I think) from Fakarava. This one is closer from the earlier ones in this thread. But, I couldn't get close enough to get under it well so the background is a little cluttered .

Still working on the rest of the pictures. Hopefully all posted soon.

Thanks! It's sad... I've only been back for a week and I'm already trying to figure out how to get back as soon as I can! At least the dollar is getting stronger again!

Underwater photos are done! Sorry it has taken so long -- trouble in the financial markets means long nights and weekends. Topside will get done eventually. In the meantime the photos are located on our site. Trip report to come and here's a Guineafowl puffer in the meantime!

Some really nice shots....Bora Bora did not look like it was happening compared to Fakarava....I gotta go back!

Yeah, Fakarava definitely beats Bora Bora for scuba diving. Topside however, Bora Bora trumps all!
