We'll be diving with Sea Eye Diving and staying at the Pillory (used to be Guanahani Beach Resort).

All of the dive shops offer unlimited shore diving and I am wondering how realistic it is that we will be able to do that. Has anyone done any shore diving on Grand Turk? Apparently the reef is about 150 yards off our beach. But with no surf, no rocks and no waves ....sounds very do-able to me!! I loved Bonaire but I gotta tell ya' - it was a real challange to enter the water at msot places due to all the rocks and exposed reef.

I've also heard of people using "dive kayaks" on Grand Turk to get out to the reef. Does that sound familiar to anyone?

Thanks!!

I was there in January and did not hear of anyone or see anyone doing any shore diving.

UTFan,

By the time I'm posing this you are already there, however I'd be grateful if after you return, you'd post how well you did with the shore diving -- where, means, etc. I will be spending a week in Grand Turk in early June, also with Sea Eye, and also hoping to get in a little shore diving, if its doable.
thanks,
Glo
