Hey Folks,

I am heading to Grand Bend to dive teh Wexford and was woundering if there were any shore dives in that area in case the charter was cancled. Any info would be helpful.

Chances are, if the charter is cancelled due to weather, there wouldn't be much vis along the shore because of the wave action. The only thing I could suggest is the river in Sarnia but, only if you've got a diver with you that know's his/her way around in the river. We've been pretty lucky so far this year by only having to cancel 1 two tank dive and limited the diving to one tank twice. Which, if you've done many charters is pretty good considering the lake:) Are you Chartering with Scuba Quest?

Ya, I am going with Scubaquest. As for the river I have done it at least 30 times. I was looking for something different, possibaly at the base of the bruce. Thanks for the sugestion

Your best bet would be the bone yards up near Goderich. The weather is looking to be good for the weekend so we shouldn't get blown off the wexford (fingers crossed) If the weather is going to turn for the worse we try to make that dreaded cancellation call the night before to try and save people the trip to Grand Bend. We'll see you this weekend.

You take the road down to the main beach in Goderich. There are 2 large connected arches on the beach road. If you enter close to there and go West, you're heading for the boneyard. I've done it a couple of times and haven't found too much. Many years ago, they scuttled some hilks out there, after stripping anything of value.

Anybody have the coordinates for the Wexford?
