Gourmet Diver or Golf Ball Diver ?

How to Scuba & Cook, and How to collect golf balls?

Does anyone have a clue or have taken these courses, curiosity has gotten the better of me.

Gourmet diving sounds like an interesting course, although I wouldn't want to eat most of the things I see underwater. It's too much like browsing an aquarium and saying, "Ohhhh, I'll have that with the mango salsa and rice!".

The Golf Ball Diver makes sense because I've read several articles that talk about the dangers. Murky water, angry snakes and gators etc. Doesn't sound fun or safe.

Not sure about the gourmet thing But golfball diving is big biz. In some areas a company with a contract to retreive balls at a bunch of courses can make a Lot of money.
You notice towards the end of the blurb "The balls you recover will remain with MDS."
not only does this guy get your $100 for the course - he gets to keep the couple of hundred bucks worth balls You find for him :deal:
You get a peice of paper and a few dives in some of the worst water you can find outside a sewage treatment plant, in those southern locations lets hope the cotton mouths and gaters are on vacation too :toilet

I think it is actually an awesome idea, but I don't think it should be a specialty course, or count towards your AOW or Master, but hey I don't make the rules, and I'm sure people take it.

I myself wouldn't eat anything out of Lake Erie :D
