What is the best way to store a gopro when not in use.
I mean, should the housing be closed or left open (obviously in a dust secure place)
I ask this because when the housing is closed, the O-ring is under compression. Will this cause the O-ring to lose its elasticity?

Thanks

I have an INTOVA sport HD which fits the same question. What I did is to leave it full open, with the O-ring removed from it's groove and placed inside the housing but in the opposite groove, where it can relax with plenty of room to accommodate to a non-tensional status. Of course covered with a alveolar film.

U can remove the gopro gasket( o-ring)
But u can just leave it un latch and store in a cool dry place.

Ditto for removing the o-ring. Lubing it and into a ziplock bag.

O-Ring: definitely do not keep it in the housing compressed. I use the sandwich PE film to cover it when not in use.

GoPro: I put it in my thick sock :)
