I currently have the GoPro Hero, I want to start using it for scuba recording I know I need to get a new lenses but should I just get the Hero 2 or Hero 3 instead of spending $100 to get a BlurFix for a 5 Year old camera?

I dive with the hero, just spend the 40$ and buy the dive housing from go pro. That's what I did and the housing works great.

Nope, not with the Hero3.

No..Hero 3 has no u/w blur issue.
