The good news: I took my GoPro Hero 3+ and Backscatter 3.1 flip filters on a liveaboard in the Maldives August 1-11 and got some great footage.

The bad news: I managed to leave all of my extra micro memory cards for the GoPro at home, meaning I only had 1 32MB card. I did have my Canon G11 with me with plenty of cards, but hard to go back once you've tasted HD video. Unfortunately I missed most of the best soft coral/colorful reef sites during the time the GoPo was in use….consolation = lots of close-up manta action :)
