Does anyone use the Gopro Hero Session for scuba diving? The camera itself is only rated down to about 33 ft but I see there is an aftermarket case available so you can take it down deeper. It's a relatively cheap camera so I think it wouldn't be a bad one to start off with in case it gets lost or damaged.

I would really recommend the GoPro Hero 5. Or you can find used 4s in good price. Its worth the extra money.

No experience with the Session, but I use a Hero4 Silver. Great camera, easy to use.

I've used a Hero 4 Session for two dive trips. Love the topside quality, don't love the underwater footage. It just isn't good looking. I'm shooting natural light, but even shallow, with a red filter, colors and quality look muddled. The other issue is the camera is so small you need to find a way to stabilize it. I've tried putting it on a small tripod (shooting from the sand toward the reef) or mounted to my much bigger/massive DSLR housing. That helps a lot. I'm comparing all this to the video quality I got on my DSLR, so perhaps it's not a fair criticism.
