Just wondering why the Underwater Housing wasn't offered instead of the Surf Housing...it seems to me that would be a better choice to be promoted on SB. IMHO

Yeah, and no color correction filters either. Hum..... Bruce

Not sure why this is listed as hot deal as this is pretty much standard price.

The camera is misrepresented by original poster as the accessories are not "free", they are part of that particular GoPro edition. As far as the price, that's about standard, although there are deals to be had and little perks to be thrown in as well.

The surf edition was designed for the surfer or snorkeler. I bought the surf edition intending to find a use for the white mounts, and I did. I made a hand held mount for my GoPro with an old dive light handle, platform from my compass, and drilled the surf mount to that. (No I don't trust the sticky stuff to hold tight). It works great. I also added a Blurfix flat port and have ordered a Polarpro filter that fits inside of the housing.

I don't think the people at GoPro fully understood the capability the camera had or what divers actually do. If they had, there would be no after market flat ports, filters, hand held mounts, camera trays and so on being fabricated by divers and manufacturers.
