Good winter diving spots

Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone knew any really good spots to dive in the wintertime. I am planning a trip to go dive in Pensacola, FL and wanted to ask all my esteemed fellow board browsers if this was a good idea and/or if they would recommend any place that might be better. I am military so timing is an issue, I dive whenever I am able. I would like to continue my certification process through PADI, who I started certification with.

Alot of questions I know, but any and all answers will be appreciated! Thank you in advance!

Anywhere on the east coast of Florida south of West Palm Beach, especially the upper Keys, Cozumel, any Caribbean island, the South seas and sometimes the Bahamas. And then there's a lot of dive spots in the Middle East like the Red Sea, etc. Lots more in other locations in the world where you might be stationed. It's like a smorgasboard.

Sorry about that, but just to make my contribution to this thread, I would agree being in the military should allow you some good diving in a few different places depending on where you are stationed. Also would like to say thanks for what you do!

Ya know what Nude, there is something about you, your answers to others and the way you present yourself (over the internet haha) I actually enjoy guessing whats coming out of your mouth next. I think we would get along. Once I improve my skills and talk the wife into letting me go to Alaska to dive, if your still diving I'll buy you that spot on the boat and we will have great dive and I assume great fun afterwards. It may be a while though

Well, like I told Ronzo - I just have a strange sense of humour. I have to, because otherwise, I'd have been dead a long time ago

I do calibrate my posts to entertain, it's true - but I'm not really so obnoxious I just don't take the internet all too seriously. I've been using it since 1989, looooooong before it ever got popular and long before most of what makes it popular today was ever available. The sense of reckless abandon concerning what happens on the internet that I started out with is still with me today

I remember one time, waaaaay back when, I made a post in a USENET "wanted" newsgroup for 50 million tons of weapons grade plutonium, delivered (please note that there is not anywhere close to this much on the entire planet) - and made it look all serious and stuff. There is more to that particular story, but I'll stop there, and just add I don't think I would make such a post today
