Hey peeps,

Does anyone know any cameras that take video underwater. I have been looking for a good one for the dives in Bermuda n such.

I was lucky and just purchased a complete underwater setup on EBAY. I got a Light and Motion Stingray, with a Sony HI8 camcorder, rear panel video, lights, extra batteries for camcorder and lights, chargers and water proof travel box for $1,000. I haven't been in the open water yet, but tried it out in the pool and it was awesome.

I suggest checking EBAY, there have been a couple of similar offerings there. jim

I was in the U/W video business for ten years and all I can tell you is that one of the 3 chip DV Sonys in an Amphibico housing is the best way to go.

Great, THanks fer the help guys.
I didn't even think of checking on Ebay. Silly ol me. And was that just a regular camcorder but that was in a water proof housin ? Sounz good.

Thanks Agian

Yep it is just a standard Sony mini cam. However, don't be misled. Not all housings fit all cameras. You have to check them out first. jim

Go with a 3 chip camera. The prices are going down down down. In addition to the Sony, check out the canon GL. I have two and LOVE them!
