Hi,

I'm currently the Chair of the Scottish Sub-Aqua Club, Coatbridge Branch, (near Glasgow) - Standing down after 2 years at our AGM tomorrow night. I'm a Sports Diver and PADI Advanced and have dived in the Greek Islands, Canaries, Red Sea, Balearics, Mexico as well as in and around Scotland. 10 of us did Scapa Flow last October which was brill. I've been diving for 5 years. So far this year we've got a few trips arranged including Garavallachs, Port Napier, Sound of Mull, Weasel Loch. We're planning a trip to Lanzarote in November.

You know, I could never be a golfer. Definately a waste of a good walk, often indulged in by work colleagues. Seriously, Get a Life Guys! Try diving. Much more challenging and fun!

Ceud mìle fàilte!!! to ScubaBoard . . . .

We hope you'll find a happy diving home here and will regale us with some of your diving exploits, especially those of Scapa Flow.

Make sure to bring in your Scottish bretheren . . .

And may I wish for, as always . . .

Safe dives . . . . . . . . . .
. . . and safer ascents !!!

The Kraken

Thanks Kraken, and top marks for your Gaelic. My mother was actually brought up in Brooklyn. She emigrated to New York as a child and returned to Scotland in '65 after my grandfather was killed. He was electrocuted whilst working on an NY railway line. (Power was accidentally left on). Anyway, don't mean to be gloomy, just thought I'd let you know about my USA connection. Still got family there but they've all retired to Florida now.

Regarding Scapa Flow - I run a small website for our club. I've posted-up a blog on the 'Divers Diary' Page, and also a video on our Video gallery, but can't post the urls yet, but if you want to have a look let me know.

All the best and safe diving Mate!
