Just joined SB, hello. Found the site looking for the correct name for a dive site at Bonaire, I thought it was Tolo (everyone else knows it as Ol' Blue). Hope to talk to a bunch of you, hope to dive with some as well...

Welcome to Scubaboard. A plethora of diving knowledge and serious discussions are held here daily. Take the time to immerse yourself in this new found knowledge.

I have never been certified. All I needed to know was found here.

I will be corrected I am sure - but I think the geographic area of the island is Tolo and the name of that particular dive site in Tolo is Ole Blue.

Since there are so few dive sites in that area the names are interchangeable.

Thanks for the welcome! I have been perusing the various forums, and I like what I see.

Jupuskar, with all due respect, I hope you don't dive w/o prior certification! Although there is a wealth of information here, formal training is still needed. This is a great sport, but it can be dangerous, and I would hate to see anyone injured due to lack of training.

DeputyDan, I think you're correct. Don't know about the "few dive sites" though. I think there's a goodly number, and all are amazing! Loved Bonaire, can't wait to get back...

By few - I mean in the Tolo region - not on the island itself

and Jepuskar is just pulling your leg!

DeputyDan, got it. Jupeskar, you got me. I was horrified, and tried to approach it as gingerly as I could. Funny, I should have caught it.

Dan, question. How do I locate a particular thread (ex: this one)? I log onto the site, but I don't see how to find any thread I have previously posted on.

thanks,

C.

NoMan89, Welcome! I made my first visit to Bonaire this summer and dove 'Ol Blue. What a great place and a great dive. Are you planning a trip?
