I am planning a trip to Jacksonville towards early to mid April. Is there good diving in that area? I'd love to meet up with the locals for any charter diving or shore dives. Thoughts? Suggestions?

Head West to High Springs/Ft. White/Mayo/Marianna or buy a friend w a nice boat.

Really? There is so much ocean and it is that boring?

There are charters running.
There are quite a few divers with boats as well.
The problem will be the date as most the diving is hunting and April is a small lull between lobster closing and grouper opening.
There is fossil diving in the St Mary's river, you'll be happy with 18 inches of vis in 30 feet of water.
Vis has been decent but green, temps have been very cool this year.
