Good dive for refresher out of Alamitos Bay?

I am an instructor and have been asked to take 2 moderately experienced and 1 little experienced divers on a refresher dive. One of them has access to a boat in Alamitos Bay.

Are there any good dive sites 30' - 40' that are close by for easy boat access? Our other option is to charter out of Dana Point and dive Laguna.
