I just want to be able to capture some "been there, done that" quality video and photos while on vacation and diving. Is this an all around good/easy to use choice? Any suggestions as to what might be better? I'm not expierenced with underwater video or photography and want something that is simple to use, in this price range...($400).

I know this is a repeat post, but I still think that the Canon HD point and shoots, along with a Canon housing is a decent economy option that packs small and light for travel. Has a nice sized display, shoots full 1080dpi, has a good zoom and serves as a great topside camera out of the housing. Whatever you go with, you’ll probably want to add some lights eventually..

These links will give you a basic idea of pricing as well as an example of a video I recently shot with the Canon set-up. The underwater stuff starts at about the 02:50 mark.

Best of luck on whatever you decide.

Hey, that's the right price range, and it was nice seeing some video that you shot with this particular camera! Great, thanks for the advice!
