Just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on Golem Gears new G2 adjustable harness. I looked at the design and I like concept but it requires you to cut the harness before you put it together. Any thoughts from our die hard DIR guys? Would this be considered a failure point?

GUE requires a one-piece continuous harness for its classes. You can find pages of arguments as to whether breaks in harness constitute a serious failure point, especially over on Yorkshire Divers. I'm dealing my standard Hog harness with a healing arm/shoulder injury, and have had no real temptation to change anything, I just have to be a little more careful for the time being.

My favorite high-angle rescue harness uses those same buckles, and I have happily done helicopter hoist missions in it. If I was going to use a harness with quick-release buckles, this is the one I'd buy, but it's probably not going to be accepted in the DIR community.
