Designed for use with back plate, hold 8 lbs. each side for total of 16. Like new condition does not include screws for mounting to back plate.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think these guys take up quite a bit of length of the harness or belt ? Like about maybe 6 inches?

Yeah, they do take up some space on the webbing. If you need weight they are hard to beat for being secure and are pretty streamlined.
