Going to the keys on 4/8 to 4/12 to dive for a few days and take some photos. I was going to take my boat (22' center concole) but with 2 divers in the family me and the wife, that leaves noone on the boat, so were going on one of the local boat their.
We will be just south of key largo, anyone else headed that way?

I'm headed there this Saturday... Going to dive with Silent World they run small boats with captain and DM.

Have a great trip...

We dove with them last year when we were there, we went out 2 days with them with 2 trips day 1 and 1 trip day 2, they're pretty good, only thing I did'nt like was no wreck dives all were 15' to 40' reef dives other then that good group.

We dove with them a few days after Rita plowed through Miami. In three days of two tank diving, we dove 3 wrecks. None of them were very deep, though.

Well this is a good thread to "latch" on to. I'm a scubaboard newbie, but a pretty salty diver. Goin' back to the Largo area for a little r&r right around the same time as the above poster.

I've been out on many of those site, but was looking for a little new info.

Anyone who's out there that knows of anything worth seeing that cqaught their eye, post it on the board.

Thanks for your support!

My wife pointed out to me that we dove one wreck "the city of washington" not very deep, this time we are doing the speigel on day 2 and a reef on day 1 and 3. The shop said we can pick because were first to book, cool huh.

The City of Washington is one of the ones we did also. Pretty shallow, but has a really large grouper living on it and we were buzzed by a pod of dolphins, too. Overall, a really fun dive. 20 - 25 FSW.

When booking dives with Silent World, just let them know what/where you would like to go. Although they (we) can't promise due to prevailing weather conditions, we'll sure make a good try to get you spots you want to see (makes it a LOT easier for us to do if you diving multiple days with us)

1 T--I'll be on one of the boats Saturday afternoon doing check out dives with a student, please be sure to say Hi!

i just got back from largo today. we did six dives...i really enjoyed south ledges but each dive was memorable. i dove with silent world. the boat takes out up to 14 divers which, for such small boat was a bit much. the crew was excellent and very laid back. (no kickbacks) :)
here's a link to the dive sites they go to...pretty much all of the dive shops go to the same places
