We booked in September....so long ago. It's been a long wait, but our departure date, January 28th, is within touching distance.
It's our first trip to Roatan and we are very excited.:D
We're staying at Lands End resort and will likely dive with Atlantic Divers. Our last dive was in Maui a year ago. I hope my wetsuit still fits!!!

Enjoy your stay, I know nothing about them these days but spent one night there when they were called Bungallow 7 and i overbooked my home. If things are going on it should be a fun place with the big saltwater pool and shorediving right there as long as the shops work with them. Do they have restauraunt these days or still mainly the bar?? Please let us know what your experience is like

I will file a report when we get back. I believe the restaurant is in use for Breakfast and Lunch...but if you want dinner there you have to book it and have a certain number of people.

We will be in Roatan for the first time on Jan 22nd -Jan. 29th. I am starting to scurry up some travel sized containers and begrudgingly sorting through my swimsuits. Never thought about the wetsuit thing(I am sure it has done some shrinking ;) Are you being as much as a geek as I am with checking the weather reports on a daily basis? Have a great time!

We love Lands End. We have stayed there three times. It is a perfect, quiet spot that is a short 10 minute walk from West End. The manager Adi is a fun, helpful and professional host. The restaurant serves great breakfast and dinner can be arranged. The bar is the perfect spot for sunsets. We didn't dive with Atlantic Sea Divers, but several other guests did. They had only good things to say about the operation. Enjoy.

:rofl3::rofl3::rofl3: Ahhhhh, the Roatan enthusiasm...there's nothing like it :banana::banana:

Don't feel like a geek bells...after NUMEROUS trips to the island, I still get JUST as excited as I did...probably MORE excited because now I know what to look forward to :D If it makes you feel any better, I start checking the weather reports as soon as the long range forecast picks them up - usually the accurate ones start about 10 days out. FYI...I have found Weather Underground to be the most accurate for tracking what the wind will be doing in Roatan.

Have a great trip :cheerleader:

Yes I do check the weather on a regular basis...I also check the Webcam from the Cocoview daily...it's windy, cold and a blizzard is expected soon where I am...so I can't wait to hit the sunsine and heat.

PLEASE do send an update. I'm trying to decide where to stay... Lands End or Benny's Cabins or something else entirely. Have a great trip!

I cant wait to hear about the trip. Some friends and I are thinking of going in April. We have never been there. We havent picked who , what or where to yet
Have a great time !
