I will be going to Breezes Runaway Bay Resort & Golf Club in November. Anyone ever been just want to know if theres any tips or tricks i should know about. :dontknow:

Water's nice and clear, there are/used to be a couple of airplanes off the coast. Wall is fantastic with a few very good swim-throughs. In the caves/swim-throughs look up- there is a round, very hard sponge (don't tough though) called Sclerosponges that are thousands of years old. Quite cool. Not a lot of fish, but there is a long-time feeding site that might have a few and they see a lot of turtles apparently.

Make sure you take your log book and either be able to put all "no's" on a PADI medical release or take one with that is signed by a doctor. I lived down the street from this resorts year's ago, running the watersports/scuba at another resort, and visited there often.

Here are photos I took while staying there:

I have not been to Runaway Bay only other Superclub resorts. If they offer a shallow and deep dive, like other Superclub resorts, but only let you do one dive I would sign up for the shallow dive. Then show up for the deep dive each day and ask them if there is room. Usually there is since its advanced certification only. Not sure about Runaway Bay but other resorts will let you get two dives in if there is room. You can sign up for the deep dive and "show up" for the shallow but usually the shallow will book first since those taking resort classes, etc. are on this dive.
