I'll be in Coz june 6-13 probably diving with Deep Blue. I used to love the Happy Hour at Plaza Los Glorios: great Margaritas, beautiful sunsets, and great prices. Of course, that's no more. I was wondering if anyone was aware of a good Happy Hour place in the downtown area that is on the oceanfront. Would Playa Azul be a good place for that and how far is that beach from the square? Also, which day was it that El Morro was closed? I'm thinking it was Monday or Tuesday. Thanks.

El Moro is closed on Thursdays.

Viva Mexico (Calle 5 at Melgar) has a great sunset view, as does the bar that's where Carlos n' Charlie's used to be. There's a really nice little bar on Acuario's shoreline patio, too.

If you are into drunken limbo contests, then Fat Tuesday's, across the alley from Palmeras restaurant, is the place for you.
 
Yes, Thursday is the day of rest for El Moro. OOOOOOOOOO, cant wait for Zacharias Especia. Soooooooooo Gooooooooooood. Ray, here we come!!

Is Fat Tuesdays the one where womens underwear hang from the ceiling?
I was sitting in Palmeras bar some years ago and noticed a nice looking blonde wearing white shorts dancing on the bar. A couple moments later, I looked again and it appeared she was wearing a tiny black Bikini bottom instead of the shorts. A friend of mine with better eyesight assured me that it was no bikini and she was not a real blonde.
