but it looks like those could be used with the neoprene seals on a semi-dry or drysuit? I don't know how well they'd work for the drysuit but with my semi they might work to restrict water flow through the wrist seals making them semi-dry gloves? It appears that the inner layer would go under the wrist seal and the outer over.

As always, I could be wrong!

I have a pair of Scuba Pro semi dry gloves and they have the same two layer rubber (which, is a pain in the butt to get your hands into when wet). They go with my S-tek suit which has two layers at the wrist as well... It's pretty much like what Biscuit7 said, if you're just wearing a normal wetsuit, wear the inner part of the glove closest to the skin, then drag the wetsuit over it, then the outer layer of the glove, kinda like a sandwich. Hope that helps! They make really warm gloves!!

Here's my take.

One layer goes under the wetsuit cuff, the other layer goes above.

Obviates the old "gloves on OVER or UNDER the wetsuit?" debate. Also, I imagine, really helps limit water flow through that area.

I have a couple sets of these gloves and some kind of biodegradeable lubricant is required to get them into position. Do not use these with a drysuit. Like Jonnythan stated, they are supposed to slow the transfer of water and with a semi dry they actually make a really good seal. Just a PITA!

Hey Dave,
I was searching the board for biodegradable lubricants... uh, so, KY?
(Hehehe, I can just see the conversation now "no, really honey, it's for my wetsuit" :tease: )
Is there anything else out there that would work?

Joanna

(PS: uh, as a diving newbie, what's PITA?)

AHHahahahah. Gotcha. Thanks dude. I just recently learned what RTFM meant too... (read the --- manual)

I have three finger gloves with a wrist like that. And I use them with my dry suit. The inner part of the wrist is bent towards the skin to get a good seal. The outer part of the glove is then pulled over to keep it in place. Keept my hands nice and toasty during winterdays untill I brought dry gloves. However you need assistance with at least one glove. But that's what buddys are for :D

And BTW a plastic glove from the service station will let you pull on gloves like that no problem - even when wet :)

I also cut off the wrist part of a pair of ordenary thin wollen gloves (to prevent interference with the seal) and used them under the plastic gloves for additional warmth.

So in conclusion: they are good gloves if you need them but a bit of a bother to get on.
