Dear Friends of the History of Diving Museum,

Tomorrow launches our first Giving Tuesday campaign to support the Dive Into Reading program. Be our buddy in charitable giving by supporting education. Our goal is to provide Shark Rider, a fictional novel laced with science, for summer reading to all 4th graders in the Florida Keys and include a fun essay contest. Upon completion of their assignment, each child will get an HDM wristband and family admission pass. Essays will be judged and winners from each school will be invited to a reception at HDM that includes a skype session with the author, Ellen Prager. Please help us reach out to students. Last year's reading program with Shark Whisperer was a success; with your help this year’s will be even better! Your support means so much to their growth and new experiences. Help us get momentum going first thing in the morning and Donate after 12:01 tonight!

As a special bonus, our Museum’s co-founder, Dr. Sally Bauer, has made a generous matching gift for anyone who donates to The History of Diving Museum on Tuesday, December 1st. All donations made after 12:01 AM tonight will be matched up to $5,000. Double your impact with your donation by being ready and giving tomorrow morning!

Please GIVE online so that you can then SHARE on line to increase the success of our Dive Into Reading program: Click here to Dive Into Reading.

Thank you in advance for helping us to make this year’s campaign a success!

Sincerely,

Lisa Mongelia
Director

The History of Diving Museum kicked off a Dive Into Reading campaign on December 1st. Be our buddies in charitable giving by supporting education. Our goal is to provide Shark Rider, a fiction novel laced with science, for summer reading to 4th graders in the Florida Keys and include a fun essay contest.

We are just shy of our first $5,350 level and matching $5,000 from co-founder, Dr. Sally Bauer. This will sponsor schools from the Upper Keys to Sugarloaf. With additional funds we can extend the program to Key West.

All participants will get a family pass and wristband, upon completion of their assignment. Essays will be judged and winners from each school will be invited to a reception at HDM that includes a skype session with the author, Ellen Prager. Please help us reach out to students. Last year's reading program with Shark Whisperer was a success, with your assistance this year will be even better! Your support means so much to their growth and new experiences.

Your generous donations also enables HDM to visit classrooms to do presentations for elementary students on topics such as early marine biology and salvage operations of the 1733 Spanish fleet off the coast of the Florida Keys, sharing our mission to inform and educate the public on man’s quest to explore under the sea.

You can contribute by going directly to our website: DivingMuseum.org or by stopping at the Museum. We are open 7 days a week from 10am to 5pm.Thank you in advance, we appreciate all you do for the community.
