Getting to Roatan

I am looking to get to Roatan on AA miles. Unfortunately AA only gets me to either san Pedro or Tegcigalpa. What city is best to route through? I know I will have to connect to La Ceiba and then to Roatan on one of the regional carriers. What regional has the most flights and depedibility?

You can go to either one as they both have flights to Roatan on a regular basis. The Tegucigalpa runway ranks among one the hardest to land in the world. Despite being born in Tegus and still having family living there, I fly in via San Pedro.
