Can a person get to bonaire from canada without overnighting someplace?

The only way to tell is to see how you can connect up with the flights that go to Bonaire. Most of the direct flights are seem to be from the US, the Netherlands or the ABC Islands (Netherland Antilles chain comprised of Aruba, Curacao, and Bonaire).

For example, from Hartsfield-Jackson Airport in Atlanta, GA (a major US hub) there are only 3 flights per week to Bonaire through Air Jamaica. Our family that lives near Calgary has to fly Calgary--->Salt Lake City--->Atlanta. Then overnights with us in Atlanta. We all fly out the next day AJ to Montego Bay then switch planes to Bonaire.

Basically, you would have to look on airline websites or call a local travel agent to find out. There are just too many variables.

I'm in Alaska and just got back on Friday We sorta did but it took 3 days to get home.

Left Juneau at 2:00PM Arrived Seattle at 5:30PM
Left Seattle 11:00PM Chicago 0530 AM
Left Chicago about 0630 AM and got to miami about 1100AM
Left Miami at about noon and got to Curacao about 3:30 PM
Left Curacao at 5:00 PM Arrived BON at 5:30 PM (Just over 20 hours)

The Trip Home
Left Bonaire to Curacao 0700 Arrive 0730 - Spent the night
Left Curacao 0700 to San Juan, Dallas and Seattle, Arrived Seattle 9:00PM - Spent the Night.
Left Seattle 0730 Arrived Juneau 9:20 . (3 days to get home)

Alberta,

I did some checking for you. If you can get to LAX, then Air Jamaica has a flight that leaves LAX and gets to Bonaire the same day. Unfortunately it does mean you have to stay over 1 night at LAX. America West can fly you into LAX, the AJ flys to Montego Bay, a quick layover then onto Bonaire.

Best of Luck and if I can help any further let me know!

There's a 1:10am Air Jamaica flight from LAX that gets to Bonaire at 3:30PM. I'm sure you could fly Alaskan from Calgary to LAX the night before to connect, however coming back you'll have to stay over at LAX, the flight doesn't arrive until too late in the evening to make a connection. At least for us.

Doesn't Air Transat fly direct from Toronto?

I've never seen one. But then I've only been there 8 times. ;)

Seriously, I've seen KLM, Air Jamaica, and a couple of the local Netherland Antilles carriers like DCA (which may be defunct now).

DCA - Unfortunately, I used that one. Not sorry to see them go the way of the DODO Bird....

Yeah.. those Caribbean airlines give a whole new meaning to "island time", don't they? :censored:
